~Internets, why did it take four days before you informed me the trailer for Terry Gilliam’s new film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was available to watch online? I am disappointed in you. I was not, however, disappointed in what I saw:
~Jodie reminds us all that old school Sesame Street monsters are made of awesome. Yip Yip Yip Yip, uh huh uh huh.
~I adore this older couple posing in the front entrance of Disneyland circa 1960 posted over at Stuff From the Park. She looks comfortable yet stylish (I want her purse!) and he looks like he belongs in a Wes Anderson film. Love.
(Side note: there will probably be at least one link to some vintage Disneyland post or snapshot included in my “bits of random” every week. You know how you can organize your blog subscriptions in Google reader into folders? Yeah, I have a folder titled “I love Disneyland a little too much.” Just a fair warning.)
~Sarah shared this recipe for a savory summer tart that looks delicious. Tomatoes, squash, goat cheese—all things I love, hurray! If I manage to hit the farmers market tonight, this will definitely be on my dinner menu this week.
~It’s time to play Truth or Fail: Literature Edition! I suggest playing it once to test your knowledge and discover your score—and then play it again and click on the answers you didn’t choose to learn even more nifty literature related facts.
~I am now adding “dipper” to the list of jobs I have no interest in trying. Read all about this truly random 19th century job over at Jane Austen’s World.
Don’t forget to be awesome!
